Software Architect

SoftSource Consulting's Software Architects work closely with our customers to architect and lead the implementation and deployment of software solutions on the Microsoft platform.
Responsibilities
- Stay current on the state of the art of development on the Microsoft platform.
- Architect desktop, Web, and mobile solutions for our customers.
- Lead Architecture Design Sessions with our customers.
- Lead development teams from one to ten people implementing solutions on the Microsoft platform.
- Serve as a technical guide and mentor for our customers.
Qualifications / Skills Required
- 10 years of experience developing software on the Microsoft platform.
- Proven knowledge of system analysis and large scale application development.
- Deep understanding of the Microsoft platform, .NET, and C#.
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
- Data modeling and database design experience with SQL Server.
- Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies (including eXtreme Programming).
- A sense of humor.
Qualifications / Skills Desired
- Project leadership experience.
- MCSD.NET certification.
- Knowledge of C++, COM, and COM+.
- Expertise developing secure applications.
- Experience with technical training or presenting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, Computer Science major strongly preferred.
Additional Information
- Full-time
- This position requires occasional travel in the Pacific Northwest.
- This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
